PPR pipe is a straight and rigid cylindrical tube made of polypropylene random copolymer plastic, which is produced by a continuous extrusion process. They are usually available in white or green and have outer diameter sizes ranging from 20 mm to 110 mm, making the pipe walls much thicker than PVC. PPR tubing comes with a range of connecting fittings, parts and accessories that are available for each pipe diameter. PPR has a very low thermal conductivity, which means that the temperature is not easily conducted from the external environment to the liquid in the pipes and vice versa. This factor reduces or increases heat loss during hydrothermal or cold night transfers, respectively, making PPR piping an energy-efficient system and reducing insulation costs.
